Curated external knowledge bases and resources from the NFDI community to support RDM in DECIDE.
Edit me

DECIDE’s research data management builds on shared resources from the wider NFDI (National Research Data Infrastructure) community. The knowledge bases, repositories, and training collections below are recommended starting points for deeper guidance on each stage of the data life cycle.

Knowledge Bases

NFDI4Microbiota Knowledge Base

A comprehensive RDM knowledge base structured around the full research data life cycle — Plan, Collect, Process, Preserve, Share, and Reuse — with dedicated sections on FAIR principles, metadata, controlled vocabularies, persistent identifiers, data repositories, licenses, reproducible analysis, and experimental SOPs. It is the closest reference model for DECIDE’s own structure.

NFDI4Health Knowledge Base

A helpdesk-style knowledge base focused on health research data, including the Health Study Hub and guidance on privacy and sensitive-data handling. Particularly relevant to DECIDE given its work with sensitive infection and health data.

Metadata Standards

NFDI4Microbiota MetadataStandards

A centralized, curated repository of existing (meta)data standards. Useful as a reference when selecting standards to annotate DECIDE datasets.

Training and Learning

NFDI4BioImage Training Materials

A large, tag-indexed catalog of training materials covering research data management, FAIR principles, metadata, reproducibility, and analysis tools. A good entry point for onboarding and self-paced learning.
